Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s or Specialist degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
For Doctoral (PhD) Programs
Applicants must hold an appropriate Master’s or Specialist degree (or equivalent) from an accredited university.

🌎 English Language Requirements
All applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. Minimum accepted scores include:
72 on TOEFL iBT
543 on TOEFL ITP
66 on Linguatest (Academic English)
Duolingo English Test (DET) – minimum B2 level
TOEFL scores must be valid within 2 years. Linguatest has no expiration.
English test scores are not required if the applicant completed a degree in English-medium instruction.
📊 GRE and GPA Requirements
GRE Exam
The General GRE is not mandatory, but it is encouraged and may strengthen your application. Skoltech’s GRE institutional code is D819.
GPA Requirement
There is no minimum GPA requirement. However, previously admitted students typically had GPAs between 4.8 and 5.0 (on relevant grading scales).
